In South America, as is customary, citizens in countries that did not qualify for the World Cup usually support the teams that did and are fighting for the ultimate glory.

In the case of Peruvians, it was no exception, as a good group of football fans celebrated Lionel Messi and company's qualification.

In the food court of the Plaza Norte mall, there was a lot of excitement as the Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez took the last penalty kick. He scored, thus achieving the long-awaited qualification for the semifinals of Qatar 2022.

An Argentine Twitter user shared a video where it can be seen that the Peruvians jumped with enthusiasm when Argentina qualified for the mentioned stage.
