West Ham’s interest in Youssef En-Nesyri has been questioned.
The Hammers have been linked with a potential January swoop to sign the Morocco international, who has scored for his country at the World Cup.
The Irons were interested in signing En-Nesyri in 2021 but no deal materialised.
It now seems that it is the Spanish club who are driving any potential rumours about En-Nesyri’s exit, as they would like to receive a big fee for him in the winter window.
The Spanish club need to raise funds if they are to strengthen their squad, and the striker is seen as one of the most saleable assets in their squad.
Sevilla would want around €20m, which is £17.1m in sterling, but the Hammers just don’t appear to be interested in doing a deal.
AS reports that the Hammers are not actually lining up any kind of bid at this stage, and that tracks, given that the club signed Gianluca Scamacca in the summer.
We can’t see the Irons making any kind of move in January.
