This Sunday, Mbappé scored a brace against the Polish team and reached five goals in Qatar 2022, becoming the tournament's top scorer. The phenomenal 23-year-old PSG forward scored two almost identical goals in the 74th and 90+1 minutes to seal the match at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha.
He had previously assisted Olivier Giroud in the 44th minute, allowing him to open the scoring and become the all-time leading scorer for the French national team with 52 goals, one more than Thierry Henry, who held the record since 2009.
Robert Lewandowski pulled one back for Poland in the 90+9th minute from the penalty spot, which had to be retaken after he missed his first attempt due to several French players entering the area before the shot was taken.
Later, at the majestic Al-Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, 45 km from Doha, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane led England to a resounding victory over the African champions. Jordan Henderson in the 38th minute, Harry Kane in the 45th, and Buyako Saka in the 57th scored the goals for England, who showcased the talent of Bellingham, a 19-year-old midfielder who is being pursued by the most powerful clubs in Europe.
