With a double by Kylian Mbappé and another goal by Oliver Giroud, France defeated Poland 3-1 and advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The French team not only left behind the ghosts that said that the previous champions were eliminated in the group stage, but also, with the game they are showing, they are serious contenders for a new world title.
After the match, Mbappé appeared before the media and revealed that not only his teammates are focused on winning the cup again, but he prepared his season around the international tournament.
