The sudden death of footballer Andrés Balanta has been a huge blow to the sport not only in Argentina but also in Colombia, his birth country and the place where he took his first steps in this career. A deep pain has also been caused to Rafael Dudamel, the coach who had the opportunity to lead the player in Deportivo Cali.
The Venezuelan had Balanta in the 2021 squad, which even won the Colombian football championship. That's why Dudamel remembers the Valle del Cauca player well. That's why the former footballer couldn't help but shed tears when he remembered him on live TV.
