Argentina wins 2-0 against Mexico
The Argentine national team needed a victory to keep the hopes of qualifying for the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup alive, and they achieved it. Against Mexico, the Albiceleste prevailed 2-0 with stunning goals from Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández, who scored the second goal in the 87th minute of the match.
The goal by the 21-year-old midfielder was a true masterpiece, as he entered the area, dribbled past two rivals, and struck a lobbed shot with the inside of his right foot that goalkeeper Guillermo 'Memo' Ochoa couldn't do anything about.
The remaining time was not enough for the Mexican team to even score a goal. With the 2-0 victory, Argentina returned to the fight in Group C, as they have three points, one less than the leader Poland. On the other hand, Mexico complicated their situation by being at the bottom of the group with only one point and on the verge of elimination.
