UConn forward Dorka Juhasz will miss at least three games with a broken thumb she suffered Monday in the Huskies' 83-76 win over Texas, the school announced Saturday.

The injury marks the latest in a recent string of injuries that have dwindled down the No. 5 Huskies' roster to just eight fully healthy players heading into Sunday's top-10 matchup against No. 10 NC State (1 p.m. on FS1). The 6-foot-5 Juhasz will also be sidelined for the Huskies' upcoming run in the Phil Knight Legacy Tournament, where they will face Duke and either No. 4 Iowa or Oregon State next week.

2020-21 national player of the year Paige Bueckers (ACL) as well as freshman Ice Brady (dislocated patella) are out for the season. Sophomore Caroline Ducharme (neck stiffness) appeared in her first game of the 2022-23 campaign Monday, but saw just five minutes of play.

Juhasz's broken thumb occurred on the same hand where she suffered a broken wrist in the Huskies' epic Elite Eight matchup vs. the Wolfpack in March. She started UConn's first two games this season, averaging 10.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in 33.5 minutes per game.

Without Juhasz, a graduate student, Geno Auriemma's frontcourt rotation is down to junior Aaliyah Edwards, senior Aubrey Griffin, freshman Ayanna Patterson and sophomore Amari DeBerry.
