According to a viral video, the incident took place near Óvalo Higuereta, where the two street vendors were located, when they were suddenly approached by individuals who work for the Municipality of the district mentioned above.
In the clip, it can be seen how these thugs throw one of the young women to the ground, while the other woman was already on the floor being dragged while holding onto her belongings.
After learning about these events, the Municipality of Surco issued a statement expressing their rejection of this misconduct and stating that those involved have already been removed from their positions.
On the other hand, the Minister of Women and Vulnerable Populations, Claudia Dávila, also spoke out, "We cannot allow the excessive use of force, much less the violation of fundamental rights," she said about what happened.
