The 2023 season will have great challenges for Cienciano, as they will not only play in Liga 1, but also face the Copa Sudamericana. The club requires reinforcements in all its lines and there were news this Wednesday: the signing of Iván Santillán, left back who left the ranks of Universitario, was confirmed.

The 31-year-old athlete played the last three seasons with the 'Cremas', after his time in Veracruz, Mexico, but he could not shine due to injuries. During the last campaign, the experienced defender had 20 matches (12 as a starter), although he finished the year with little continuity.

However, Cienciano bet on the experience of the lefty and revealed the signing through social networks: "Welcome, 'León'. We announce the signing of Iván Santillán, left back, who becomes the second signing of the 2023 season. Let's go all out!".

Likewise, the former Cusco FC player expressed his excitement to join 'Papá' and have the opportunity to compete at the international level. "I am very happy to wear the shirt of such a great team. I am happy for this new challenge in my career," he began.
