Alianza Lima crowned League 1 champion
Alianza Lima was crowned bicampeon of Liga 1 after defeating FBC Melgar (2-0) at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium on November 12. Following this achievement, different teams from the Peruvian tournament expressed their congratulations to the team directed by Guillermo Salas.
Deportivo Binacional, Carlos Mannucci, Cesar Vallejo, and Cantolao were some of the institutions that congratulated the victorian team. However, it is worth mentioning the curious fact that Sporting Cristal, one of the so-called 'grandes del fútbol peruano', is the only one that highlighted the title won by the Equipo del Pueblo.
On the other hand, Universitario de Deportes, Alianza Lima's classic rival, has not yet spoken out.

When will Alianza know its Copa Libertadores opponents?
The team from La Victoria will only know their opponents on March 20, 2023, the date on which the group stage draw will take place. Unlike other years, Conmebol will wait for the previous stages to finish in order to define the 32 teams and avoid any gaps in the composition of the eight series.
