Mexico increases the score: Funes Mori scores a goal for the 2-0 lead against Iraq in a friendly match.

Just like in the first half, the Mexican national team came out strong in the second half against Iraq. Thus, the Aztec team scored the 2-0 in the friendly match being played at the Municipal Montilivi Stadium.

In the 48th minute, Uriel Antuna projected himself down the right flank and, before entering the area, sent a cross. Then, Rogelio Funes Mori anticipated the defender and scored the second goal for the team led by Gerardo Martino.

It is worth noting that the first goal for the Mexican team was scored by Alexis Vega in the 3rd minute. On the other hand, after the match against Iraq, the 'Tri' will face Sweden and then focus on the World Cup.

It is important to mention that the Mexican national team will debut on November 22 in Group C against Poland. After four days, they will clash against Argentina and close against Saudi Arabia.

Mexico vs. Iraq: preview

The 'Tricolor' has started the final phase of preparation for the World Cup. For this, the team led by Gerardo Martino is already training in Spain. On the eve of the first of the two rehearsal matches (the other will be against Sweden), the Argentine coach gave clues about the 26-man squad that will go to the tournament.
