This Wednesday, FBC Melgar faces Alianza Lima at the Monumental de la UNSA stadium in Arequipa for the first leg final of the Liga 1 Betsson 2022 and, on his part, Michael Espinoza, main referee of the match, referred to his appointment in this important game.
"Everything's fine, with the entire refereeing team. I came because I was appointed. The Conar appoints me and I have to come. There are eight FIFA referees and we are all prepared to officiate this match, it was my turn. I hope for a good show, a well-played match and for it to be fluid and for the players to also collaborate", Espinoza said in an interview with Canal N.
As you may recall, before the match there was controversy over the appointment of Michael Espinoza since he had also refereed the match between Alianza Lima and ADT for the last round of the Clausura Tournament and, according to the tournament rules, a referee cannot officiate the same team if at least one previous round has not passed.
