The Super League responds to Javier Tebas' attacks
The Super League has once again ridiculed Javier Tebas with a strong response to the president of La Liga's latest attack. The Spanish leader took advantage of the spectacular atmosphere before the Seville derby between Betis and Sevilla to attack the Super League without reason, only to fuel the war.
"Spectacular!! For A22 Sports (those from the Super League), Real Betis and their fans cannot play in the Super League, and neither can many clubs in Europe. They say that they don't generate money and that their matches are not 'interesting'. They need to learn. #EarnItOnTheField," stated Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga.
In response to the president's words, in which he claimed that "Real Betis and their fans cannot play in the Super League," the derby ended in a 1-1 draw in a controversial match with two red cards for each team, that is, four expulsions. In his tweet, Tebas mentioned the Super League account.
In the face of this attack, the competition in which Real Madrid, Barça, and Juventus participate did not remain silent and responded firmly: "Hello Javier Tebas, another false claim. We respect national leagues and love their derbies, and of course, they will also be able to play in a future 100% open European competition. Football deserves a debate without manipulation. If you want to learn, we're still here!" they concluded.
