Beyond the defeat, Spanish coach Benito Floro highlighted that Mexico showed them respect, something they should value and use for their growth.
“I have spoken to the boys and told them that in these matches we have to look for the positive aspects and it starts with the consideration that Mexico has had towards us, they have considered us a difficult team”, he said.
He mentioned that the Tri "has highlighted our shortcomings, but they have also shown us that Canada has something, from there we have tried to create our game starting from the back, but we lack that experience and rhythm, we lack that tactical experience”.
Benito Floro, however, accepted that they were surpassed by a Mexican team that demonstrated their collective and individual quality on the field.
“Mexico was better than us, it was not a good performance, but we must take positive things for the future, right now they are better”, he concluded.
