Thunder Awaken and Beastcoast are the two Peruvian teams that are still seeking to reach the final of The International . Both want to win the top prize and be crowned champion of this year's Dota 2 World Championship, but will both be able to reach the final or will they have to eliminate each other at some point?
In the first round of the Lower Bracket, Beastcoast eliminated the third Peruvian team in the competition. With a final score of 1-0, Hokori said goodbye to the Dota 2 World Championship and took home US$260,275 (1.5% of the prize pool).

In the second round, Beastcoast defeated Evil Geniuses 2-0 and now they will have to fight against PSG.LGD to advance in the Lower Bracket. If they win, they will face Team Aster, which fell to Tundra Sports in the Upper Bracket and has a new opportunity in this line of the tournament.
On the other hand, Thunder Awaken secured an additional US$600,000 by reaching the Top 6. However, they lost 2-0 to Team Secret in the Upper Bracket and therefore have a new opportunity in the Lower Bracket. In other words, there won't be a Peruvian final because both teams are on the same path to reach the final. However, they could face each other in a do-or-die match if they win the remaining rounds.

Beastcoast would have to defeat PSG.LGD and then Team Aster to reach the fifth round. On the other hand, Thunder Awaken would have to defeat the winner of the third round, which will come from the showdown between OG and Team Liquid. If this happens, Beastcoast and Thunder Awaken will fight to the death on October 29th to be one step away from the grand final.
Beastcoast faces the toughest road because they have to face more opponents, which will generate additional wear and tear on their members. Despite this, the team already has a precedent of having defeated a Peruvian team, as they did with Hokori. Thunder Awaken, however, will not be an easy rival, as mentioned before, they are already among the top 6 at The International.
