A Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez doesn't care about the fragility of Amir Khan's jaw. For him, the only thing that matters is making a successful defense of his World Boxing Council middleweight title.

Therefore, he doesn't rely on what it may seem like his punching power can do to the Brit, since fights are won more with the cunning with which those punches are connected, the frequency and placement.

Furthermore, he ensures that he will prepare in the best way, to arrive in good form and defeat Khan clearly and without complications, something necessary to achieve a quality defense.

Canelo is fully committed to this title defense

"Canelo" is the favorite in this fight, he has been criticized for choosing Khan and Khan has even been made fun of because he is seen as "cannon fodder"... although none of that is an excuse for not giving their maximum effort.

On May 7th, the World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Saúl Álvarez will defend his crown for the first time, against a rival that many experts have questioned, Amir Khan; however, the Mexican fighter assured that at this level there is no small rival and that it would be a mistake to think that he will have an easy night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Saúl and Amir will step into the ring in a fight scheduled at 155 pounds, which has motivated some assumptions about an advantage for the "Canelo", who has never weighed 160 pounds, the limit of the category in which they will be fighting.

"I'm taking this fight against Amir Khan very seriously, my preparation will be equal or better than the one I did for Miguel Cotto. I'm only focused on Khan and I have respect for all my opponents," Álvarez added.

What "Canelo" said is because he and his team believe that it will not be an easy fight, and thinking that Khan is an easy challenge to overcome would be a serious mistake.
