A new protagonist looks set to join the ongoing saga regarding Sergio Ramos’ future. With the relationship between the Spanish club and the defender at a low, the player has requested that the club study any offers that arrive for his services. Manchester United were the first club to show interest in the player from Camas (Seville) and were interested in signing Ramos as part of a deal that would have included goalkeeper, David De Gea moving to Madrid. Both their offers to date have been rejected by the team from the Spanish capital.
Reports in the UK suggest that Manchester City are considering in making a bid for the central defender. Having seen how the relationship between United and Madrid has become strained, they hope to avail of this situation in securing the Spanish international’s signature.
The directors at the Etihad are aware that securing the player won’t be cheap. The club have deposited their faith in Manuel Pellegrini, despite the Chilean coach not picking up any silverware for the club and owner, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, has promised ‘’the arrival of top class players’’.
