The Peruvian women's volleyball team was crowned champion of the 2022 South American Games in Asunción on Friday. The national team, with Karla Ortiz as one of the most experienced players, defeated Argentina in the grand final in a thrilling match that lasted five sets.

In the end, the Peruvian team emerged victorious with a score of 3-2 in a thrilling match held at one of the courts of the Paraguayan Volleyball Federation. The set scores were 22-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-19, and 15-11.
