After various reactions and complaints on social media about the discriminatory acts against women carried out by the 'Rincón Cervecero' restaurant, the Municipality of Lima officially closed the establishment on Jirón de la Unión.

The entity communicated through its Twitter account that the decision was made because various accusations have been received against the establishment.

"Through the Supervision and Control management, we closed and fined with S/ 4600, the restaurant "Rincón Cervecero", located on Jirón de la Unión, for discriminatory acts against women, an event that was denounced through social media by the customers themselves.", part of the publication reads.

It was also reported that municipal inspectors found that alcoholic beverages were served in containers that had up to eight offensive messages against women printed on them.

During the health inspection, some anomalies that put the products at risk for customer consumption were also detected, resulting in a fine of S/. 9 200.
