Statement from Gimnasia about the incidents in La Plata

The Argentine team from La Plata reported that they "complied with the protocols established by the security agencies." In addition, the board clarified that there "was no ticket overselling and the behavior of the members and fans was correct."

In that sense, Gimnasia was severe about the attitude of the Police: "We condemn the excessive actions of the security forces at the entrance and surroundings of the Juan Carmelo Zerillo Stadium before, during, and after the suspension of the match with Boca Juniors."

Finally, the La Plata club stated that they held meetings with the Buenos Aires Province Police and Aprevide in order to organize and coordinate the access of all attendees. "The entrance to the stadium and the schedules were established by the security agencies according to the criteria of their protocols in action," concludes the statement.
