Last Hours Announcement: André Marín Takes a Break from "La Última Palabra"
In the last hours, Fox Sports released a statement announcing that André Marín would take a break as the main host of the program La Última Palabra. This decision is due to his focus on his medical recovery from an illness he has been suffering from for several years.
"At this moment, André needs to concentrate on his recovery to come back to our screens and deliver his unique and controversial style that makes him one of the leaders in Latin American sports journalism," said part of the extensive statement.
Showings of solidarity have not been delayed, commentators from other sports networks such as David Faitelson, José Ramón Fernández from ESPN, and Paco Villa from TUDN wished him a speedy recovery along with the best wishes for him and his family.
André Marín Thanks on Social Media
André Marín's response was immediate, a few hours after the company's statement where he works, he took the opportunity to send a message on his Twitter account, assuring that he will soon be "stronger" on the screens.
"Thank you very much to all who have been concerned about my health. I greatly appreciate your messages of support. Very soon, I will come back stronger than ever," he said.

What Illness Does André Marín Have?
In an interview with Javier Alarcón, André himself gave details about the illness he is suffering from.
"Before the covid-19 pandemic, I had something that I wouldn't recommend to anyone called clostriudium, an infection in the stomach that, if not treated with strong antibiotics, can perforate the intestines and pancreas. I was wonderfully taken care of at the Angeles del Pedregal hospital, and they pulled me through. It is a whole treatment to get back to being 100%, fortunately, I'm doing great," he said.
