The memory of the great moments that volleyball gave to Peruvian fans lives in the memory of many. One of the country's most popular sports, which today does not have a clear present, much less a promising future. In the DT Awards you can vote for the best volleyball player of the last three decades.

Not long ago Peruvian volleyball was internationally recognized and we fought alongside other powers to be the best national team. The golden age of national volleyball came thanks to a visionary in the sport: Man Bok Park. The Korean coach who arrived in the country without knowing any Spanish and thus took us to the highest heights of world volleyball.

Man Bok Park encountered a group of exceptional players who coincided by destiny and whom he was able to bring out their best potential. Rosa García, Natalia Málaga, Gabriela Pérez del Solar, and Cecilia Tait were some of these volleyball players who soon became figures and references of the national team and inspired a whole country.

Among the titles they achieved are the runner-up in the 1981 Mexico Youth World Championship and the 1982 Peru World Championship. The bronze medal in the 1986 Women's Volleyball World Championship and the most memorable for many the silver medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Those moments of glory seem very distant today in a sport that has lost its way in our country. Unfortunately, Peruvian volleyball is no longer what it used to be, many generations of future promises have been lost due to the lack of good management and support from its own Federation.

It can't be denied that there is a great group of players who currently proudly wear the national colors. But despite their great efforts and beyond the results, there is still a long way to go for Peruvian volleyball to return to where it was before.

Even so, in the memory of national fans, these irreplaceable moments live on with the hope of experiencing them again and that Peruvian volleyball becomes a power again. That's why now is the time to define who is the best Peruvian volleyball player of the last three decades by voting in the DT Awards.
