Sport Boys is not doing well. The Licensing Committee of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) has deducted four points from the club in the accumulated table of the Liga1 Betsson for not making the payments for the month of June. Not only that, but they must also pay 17 UIT (Tax Unit).
With six matches remaining in the Peruvian tournament, Sport Boys received another blow. The FPF Licensing Committee sanctioned the rosado team again. Previously, they had deducted three points, now it was four units because the club "did not comply with the timely payment of remunerations, employer contributions, and labor taxes, corresponding to June 2022".
Sport Boys has also not paid the June installment of refinancing with the FPF and SAFAP.
Uncomfortable situation for Sport Boys
Because the club has already been sanctioned during the year on five occasions with fines and point deductions in the standings, the Licensing Committee believes that they should receive a stronger penalty for re-offending.
The imposed sanction - four points deducted in the accumulated table and an economic fine of 78,200 - can be "appealed by the club through an appeal within the next seven days after notification".
Sport Boys currently ranks 12th in the accumulated table with 35 points. If the appeal is not successful, the rosado team would drop several positions and get closer to the tournament's relegation zone if they do not achieve positive results.
In the next round, the chalaco team will face Atlético Grau, who is in second place in the Clausura.
