Relatives of football player Christian Cueva have reportedly denied that the explosion, caused by unknown individuals at the door of the midfielder's parents' house in Primavera de Trujillo, is an extortion issue.
The brother of the Peruvian national team player, named Marcial, stated that their parents are concerned about the attack that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, September 17th, at the property on Da Silva street.

Following the incident, officers from the Explosive Deactivation Unit (UDEX) and the El Alambre police station arrived at the scene to conduct investigations. According to police information, the property suffered material damages, and initially, it was believed to be an extortion act.
"At this moment, we are here in the Primavera neighborhood with my parents. We are all concerned and surprised about this. If it were an extortion, they would have already intimidated us. The house cameras show everything, the police have them. I cannot tell you anything else," said Marcial Cueva.
