Neither the cold nor the cloudy sky of Lima could stop the 16,000 athletes who arrived at Kennedy Park in Miraflores to run the 10k, 21k, and 42k marathons. In the minutes before the start, the emotions and nerves of the competitors could be felt as they performed their preparation rituals before heading to the route.
