The Real Madrid coach spoke in a press conference about Karim Benzema's injury during the match against Celtic in the Champions League.

This Tuesday, the alarms went off not only at Real Madrid, but also in the French national team, due to the injury of Karim Benzema . The 'galo' striker suffered severe pain in his right knee that prevented him from finishing the match against Celtic on the first matchday of the Premier League, so Carlo Ancelotti commented on it.

After the match, with the spirits calm, the Italian ruled out that the knee injury of 'Gato' is important, awaiting the tests that the player will undergo upon his return to Spain. "After an initial evaluation it doesn't seem serious, but we have to wait for tomorrow. It doesn't seem serious, it could be a slight discomfort in both knees", Ancelotti said in statements to Movistar

The Italian coach confirmed that the definitive tests on Benzema, after the initial exploration in the away dressing room at Celtic Park, will be carried out on Wednesday in Madrid. "Tomorrow we will know for sure", he said.

Regarding the match, Ancelotti expressed satisfaction with the result, although he admitted that Celtic made them suffer in the first half. "We played against a team that put a lot of intensity and we suffered a bit", he concluded.

"We managed the ball well from the back, but we lacked the speed in the final third that we had in the second half", he added in conversation with the media. Finally, the Real Madrid coach trusted that he brought Eden Hazard in for Benzema because "I thought it was the right match for him".
