Orlando City secures victory against New York City
Orlando City of Major League Soccer (MLS) from the United States achieved another victory this Sunday in the tournament, surpassing New York City 2-1 as the home team.
In the home team, Uruguayan player Facundo Torres started again and stood out.
The former Peñarol footballer provided a new assist in this MLS tournament, just like last week.
At the 6th minute, Torres received the ball outside the box after a corner kick and skillfully enabled Brazilian midfielder Júnior Urso to score the temporary 1-0.
In the winning team, Uruguayan player César Araújo also entered the game at the 53rd minute, while captain Mauricio Pereyra was not eligible for this match.
Based on the post-match statistics, Torres was the best player of his team.
Orlando is currently in fifth position in its conference, with one less match played.
Uruguayan player Nicolás Acevedo started in the midfield for the opposing team, while Santiago Rodríguez was not part of the squad.
