Football in Mexico does not stop. Starting this Friday, August 26, the 11th round of the Liga MX Apertura 2022 will be played, a tournament that currently has Toluca and Monterrey sharing the top spot with 21 points.
In this new stage of the Liga MX, which no longer has any undefeated teams, the first teams to take the field will be Puebla and Juarez. This match, to be played on Friday at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium, will be the curtain raiser for this matchday.
That same day, the team where Peruvian midfielder Pedro Aquino plays, América, will also play. The 'Águilas' - after achieving their fifth consecutive victory against Querétaro - will seek to continue on the path of triumph when they face Mazatlán away at the Kraken.
On the other hand, Cruz Azul, with Luis Abram, will play their corresponding match the next day, Saturday, August 27. The 'Máquina Cementera', who have not been able to secure a victory in the last four matches, will try to break the streak by getting a win against Querétaro at the Azteca Stadium.
Meanwhile, Atlas, the club where Anderson Santamaría and Edison Flores are playing, will visit León at the Nou Camp, with the intention of making a big impact and improving their position in the standings.
Unlike the 'zorros' team, Chivas Guadalajara, with international forward Santiago Ormeño, will try to secure their third consecutive victory in the competition and enter the title race.
The match between Tijuana and one of the leaders, Monterrey, will be the one that closes the round. Both institutions will face each other on Sunday, August 28, at the Caliente sports arena, where they will fight tooth and nail to achieve a new conquest.
