The offensive level of PSG is impressive and the team demonstrates its power against Lille, in the third round of Ligue 1 in France. Before the half-hour mark, Argentine Lionel Messi appeared to finish off a great collective action and put the partial 2-0 on the scoreboard.
The actions were approaching the 27th minute and Paris Saint-Germain was making a ground-level exit, despite the pressure exerted by the opposing team. The combination of passes had a change of pace before the center of the field, thanks to the decision of Marco Verratti, who enabled Messi through the lines.
Messi, located in the central circle of the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, turned on his own axis and executed a wall pass with Kylian Mbappé, advancing quickly towards Lille's goal. Immediately, Neymar offered himself as an assistance option, on the left, but Messi chose to search for Nuno Mendes.
The Portuguese left-back entered the area and, before reaching the goal line, made a low cross towards the penalty spot. There, Lionel appeared unmarked to define with a subtle touch with his right foot, and the ball slowly hit the net, next to the left post of goalkeeper Leo Jardim.
The PSG fans present in the sports field celebrated effusively, while Messi received the embrace of his teammates. If the result is confirmed, the Parisians will return to the top of Ligue 1, adding nine points, while Lille will fall to 10th place with four points.
