A historic and epic rivalry was protagonized by Sting and Ric Flair in the late 80s and much of the 90s, with the golden belt representing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in between, the two gladiators represented the classic concept of "babyface and heel" within professional wrestling: the powerhouse of energy and valor, as well as youth and good vibes that Sting was, the babyface; while the bag full of tricks and lies, taking advantage of any situation called Ric Flair, the heel. Both engraved their names for posterity.
So it is not strange at all that Sting has chosen his eternal rival in the ring as the character that will induct him into the showcase of the immortals, the WWE Hall of Fame, which he will enter the night of Saturday, April 2nd, one night before Wrestlemania 32.
With this, the ceremony of the Hall of Fame is practically defined, as previously JBL had confirmed that he and Ron Simmons will induct The Godfather, while Michael Hayes confirmed that the sons of Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy, Ray Gordy (known in WWE for his character of Jesse), will be with him receiving immortality on behalf of their group The Freebirds, their rival, Kevin Von Erich, will present them.
