In the fourth round of the Dota 2 Arlington Major tournament, the team Thunder Awaken, composed of five Peruvians, lost 2 - 0 against the European squad OG and tied with Team Liquid, from the same region. After these results, the Peruvian team needs to achieve a good result in the last round of the group stage to secure a spot in the tournament playoffs, which will distribute US$500,000 in prizes.
Thunder Awaken has not finished its participation in the group stage of the Dota 2 Arlington Major. However, the team is almost out of the competition. The squad currently has zero wins, five draws, and two losses, so they would need to not be defeated by PSG.LGD, the favorite team from China. It should be noted that PSG.LGD is in the first position of Group A and has already advanced to the next stage.

As a reminder, the Dota 2 Arlington Major started on Thursday, August 4th and ends on Sunday, August 14th. The tournament features 17 teams from around the world, all competing for a share of the lucrative prize pool of US$500,000.
Two Peruvian teams, Thunder Awaken and Beastcoast, are the only representatives from South America. Beastcoast has managed to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
Who are part of Thunder Awaken
It should be noted that Thunder comes with a loss in their team since Gonzalo 'Darkmago' Herrera's US VISA was not approved. Therefore, Ricardo 'Alone' Fernandez, 17 years old, will temporarily replace (stand-in) 'Darkmago' as mid laner on the squad. In that sense, Thunder Awaken is composed of the following players:
- Christian 'Pakazs' Savina
- Ricardo 'Alone' Fernandez
- Rafael 'Sacred' Yonatan
- Farith 'Matthew' Puente
- José 'Pandaboo' Padilla
- Juan David 'Vintage' Angulo Nicho (coach)
