Marca Claro and Claro Sports live streamed León's victory (3-2) over América last Sunday through their official YouTube channel for free. However, during the 40 minutes of the match, the signal was cut off to the surprise of the users.
Instantly, a message appeared explaining that the video was not available due to a rights claim by FOX Sports MX. However, the transmission resumed and internet users were able to watch the second half, which was also cut off at times.
This incident was not overlooked by Claro Sports and Marca Claro, who, through a statement, explained that "they have a valid license for the broadcasting and commercial exploitation rights of Club León's matches through the internet, including YouTube, as well as through other media."
"In light of the above, we are considering legal actions at our disposal to proceed accordingly against those responsible," the company added.
It is important to mention that Marca Claro, Claro Sports, and Fox Sports share the rights to the matches of Pachuca and León when they play at home. However, the big difference is that the former broadcasts the matches for free through their YouTube channel and has a great reception.
