Denis Kudla v Michael Mmoh Head to Head
This rivalry has been restricted to the Challenger circuit up until now when they face off at the highest level for the first time.
Of the five matches they have played at the Challenger level, Kudla has won thrice while Mmoh registered victories in the other two matches.

Kudla on a Three-Match Losing Streak
Kudla has had his share of success at the highest level but this season those have been restricted to the Challenger circuit.
The quick-serving Kudla has already won one Challenger title for this year and that came on the hard courts of Phoenix earlier in March this year. It was followed by a third round appearance at the Miami Masters in which Kudla had made the main draw as a qualifier.
More recently, however, Kudla has been on a three-match losing streak which started at the Mallorca Open qualifiers. He then proceeded to go down fighting to Lorenzo Sonego in the first round of the 2022 Wimbledon before finishing second in the Atlanta Open opener against Mackenzie McDonald.

Mmoh Finally Qualifies for Washington
In two previous attempts at the Citi Open, Mmoh has crashed out of the tournament in the qualifiers stage itself. This time, thankfully for him, Mmoh has managed to make it through and enter the main draw on the back of some easy wins.
Mmoh, who had entered these qualifiers on a three-match losing streak of his own, registered back to back straight-set victories over Raymond Sarmiento and JC Aragone to make it through to the main draw.
Incidentally, he was 4/25 odds to win going into both those matches and did so rather comfortably.
The true test begins now for Mmoh has he takes on a rival who is ranked around 80 places ahead of him.
