The Professional Football League has postponed the match between Talleres and Unión that was scheduled for this Friday at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium due to the accident suffered by Unión's bus when it was heading to Córdoba. The accident resulted in the hospitalization of three players and four staff members, who are out of danger.
"Due to the accident of the bus that was transporting Unión's squad to Córdoba and the injuries suffered by some of its members, for reasons of force majeure, the match against Talleres is postponed to a date to be defined," LPF reported on its Twitter account.
The club from Córdoba, which will face Vélez next Wednesday in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores quarterfinals, added that they had been in constant contact with Unión officials regarding the health status of the delegation and that they will analyze the rescheduling options within the framework of the triple competition fixture.
Unión's bus suffered an accident while traveling to Córdoba to play the match corresponding to the eleventh round of the League Tournament. At the exit of the Casasol venue, a cargo truck rear-ended the bus and caused the incident, which resulted in the hospitalization of three players and four staff members.
"Leonel Bucca, Enzo Roldán, and Mateo Del Blanco suffered cranial trauma without loss of consciousness and were transferred to a high-complexity center for tests, while the staff members Julián Giráldez, José Leconte, Diego Ferrero, and Juan Ignacio Chiapino suffered injuries that required transfer," reported the Santa Fe institution, which later added that the seven members of the delegation had undergone the relevant tests at the Cullen Hospital and that they had all been discharged with a recommendation for rest.
The club made a formal request to the Argentine Football Association (AFA) for the match to be postponed, and the national football regulatory body, together with the Professional Football League, acted accordingly and determined the postponement of the match "to be defined."
Unión is currently in fifth place in the League Tournament, with 18 points in 10 matches, while Talleres is in twenty-third position. La T has only accumulated 9 points so far in the tournament, but they overcame Colón in the international stage and reached the quarterfinals of the CONMEBOL Libertadores for the first time in their history.

The vehicle with the Tatengue squad had just left its training ground when it was hit by a truck. Seven passengers, including 3 players, were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
