Héctor Herrera gives it his all in every play. The Mexican has demonstrated this in all the clubs he has belonged to, as well as in his national team. It is no different at Houston Dynamo, his current team, although sometimes it makes him feel pain. We say this because of a particular action that happened last Saturday, in the match against Minnesota United.

In the 40th minute of the first half, at the PNC Stadium, the midfielder suffered a cut on his left eyebrow and immediately started bleeding. His face was stained from the bleeding and he needed medical attention. The healthcare professionals assisted him, bandaged him, and finally, he was able to continue playing.

The play that caused the blow was in the opponent's area. In his attempt to header, the former member of Atlético de Madrid, Porto, and Pachuca collided head to head with his American teammate Fabrice Picault, who was unharmed.

Herrera, 32, was the captain and completed the full 90 minutes in a new MLS match. Unfortunately for the Mexican, Houston Dynamo lost 2-1 at home. Franco Fragapane (45’+2) and Bongokuhle Hlongwane (72’) scored for Minnesota United, while Picault (85’) pulled one back.

With the defeat, Houston's team remained in the eleventh position, with 25 points in the Western Conference, 20 points behind leaders Los Angeles FC. Meanwhile, Minnesota United is third with 34 points and maintains an undefeated streak of six consecutive matches with five victories.
