The first rumors come from Brazil, where they indicate that Santos would be interested in acquiring Juanfer's services. Although it is not a simple operation, the Brazilian team would be willing to do whatever it takes to sign him.

Santos sees the value as high and tries to lower it, but is doing well in negotiating other contractual terms. Waiting for a formal proposal from 'Peixe', Juan Fernando Quintero has only played 20 games for River Plate since his return. In 'TyC Sports' they handle the following version: "River Plate doubts about his continuity since today he is not an essential piece for Gallardo".
