It is his fourth consecutive world record. He is 29 years old, measures 1.78 meters, weighs 95 kilograms, and his goal is to become the first to throw over 80 meters.

Polish athlete Anita Wlodarczyk threatens the 80-meter barrier in hammer throw and breaks her own world record with a throw of 79.83 meters.

This achievement took place on Saturday at the Wroclaw meeting in Poland.

Her previous record was 79.58 meters, set on August 8th during the Diamond League in Berlin.

The Polish thrower, who is 29 years old, stands at 1.78 meters and weighs 95 kilograms. While she is the dominant figure in setting records (she has broken the last four world records), she is not the most secure in high-level competition. She won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics and the 2013 Moscow World Championships. However, she has emerged victorious in the last two European Championships: Helsinki 2012 and Zurich 2014.

Her main goal for this year, apart from winning the World Championships in Beijing, is to become the first female hammer thrower to surpass the 80-meter mark.
