After just over two weeks since joining Universitario de Deporte, Jordan Guivin was finally able to make his official debut this Saturday (in his debut!). The Peruvian midfielder started against Universidad San Martín and shined with a great goal, in a match corresponding to the second round of the Clausura Tournament of Liga 1.
At minute 71, at the Monumental Stadium, the player appeared at the edge of the area and did not hesitate to shoot. With a right-foot shot, Guivin overcame the resistance of goalkeeper Carlos Solís and scored the partial 3-0. However, in the process, the ball was slightly deflected by Juan Tuesta, a member of the team.
Jordan Guivin was on the field until minute 87, when he was replaced by José Zevallos. In the time he was on the field, the player, who came on loan from Celaya in Mexico, was key to the team's balance and always showed himself as a passing option for his teammates.
In the end, the result was a resounding 4-0. In addition to Guivin, Alex Valera (45'+1), Federico Alonso (68'), and Alexander Succar (86') scored the goals for the cream team, which clearly surpassed Universidad San Martín in the course of the game in the second half.
Universitario, in its next match, will face Carlos Stein on Sunday, July 24th at the Monumental Stadium. On the other hand, San Martín will face Sport Boys in the next round. This match is scheduled for Saturday, July 23rd.
