The English international forward Raheem Sterling, formerly of Manchester City, has signed a five-year contract with Chelsea, the London club announced on their website this Wednesday.
Sterling, 27, who was born in Jamaica, joined City seven years ago from Liverpool. In Manchester, he won four English titles and played in a European Champions League final, among other achievements.
"I have achieved a lot in my career, but there is still a lot to accomplish," Sterling said on Chelsea's website.
"London is my home," he continued. "The place where it all started for me. It's incredible to have the opportunity to play in front of my friends and family, every week, at Stamford Bridge," he added.
