Erik ten Hag, who already knew the athlete from the Eredivisie, decided to sign him and Manchester United closed the transfer deal for 15 million euros. According to the English institution, Malacia's contract extends until June 30, 2026.

During the 2021-22 season, Tyrell Malacia enjoyed a lot of continuity at Feyenoord, contributing with four assists and one goal in 32 appearances.
