Hebei Fortune signs Argentine international forward Ezequiel Lavezzi
The Chinese club Hebei Fortune has signed Argentine international forward Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain, according to the club's official social media accounts.
The Chinese club has not revealed the amount paid for Lavezzi's transfer, but local press estimates it at €5.5 million.
Hebei Fortune announced on WeChat, the most popular social network in China, that it had reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Lavezzi, but without providing details, not even the duration of his contract.
The club also released two images; one of the moment when the Argentine forward signed his new contract and another with a welcome message that read: "Here comes Hebei Fortune's last weapon".
The team from northern China, newly promoted to the top division, has been one of the most active in this transfer market for the upcoming season, which begins on March 5. They have also signed Ivorian Gervinho (formerly of Roma), Frenchman Gaël Kakuta (signed from Sevilla), and Cameroonian Stéphane M'Bia (from Turkish club Trabzonspor).
Other notable signings in the Chinese Super League in recent weeks include Colombian Jackson Martínez, who will play for Guangzhou Evergrande, and Brazilians Ramires and Alex Teixeira from Jiansu Suning, the latter for a record fee of €50 million.
