Nintendo has revealed in a recent Nintendo Direct Mini that the acclaimed video games Persona 5 Royal and Nier: Automata will join the Switch console's catalog in October.
Persona 5: Royal will be released on October 21 (coinciding with the game's release on Xbox and PC), while Nier: Automata will do so on October 6.

In addition, Atlus, responsible for the Persona franchise, confirmed that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will arrive on the Nintendo Switch at some point in 2023. All of them will come with new content and Spanish translation.

In addition to the arrival of Persona and Nier: Automata on Switch, the event also showcased various game announcements:
- Return to Monkey Island: Renowned Ron Gilbert's video game will arrive in late 2022 first on the Nintendo Switch console.

- Mario Rabbids + Sparks of Hope: The sequel to the turn-based strategy game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle from 2017 will premiere on October 20th, developed by Ubisoft and Nintendo.
- Dragon Quest Treasures: A new spin-off of the legendary Dragon Quest series is on its way. The game debuts on December 9th and is called Dragon Quest Treasures. Players will be able to team up with monsters, as a new feature.

- Harvestella: The next work from Square Enix is a blend of fantasy role-playing games with farm/life simulators. In this sense, you will have to defeat beasts, but also take care of your crops and interact with the inhabitants of Harvestella. It will be released on November 4th on Switch.
- Dreamlight Valley: Another farm/life simulator in the style of Animal Crossing. Dreamlight Valley is a Disney game that will be released on various consoles, but will have an early access version on Switch on September 6th.
