The Uruguayan football player Joaquín Vergés was signed on Wednesday by 9 de Octubre, the bottom team of the first stage of the Ecuadorian championship, which is ahead of other teams in restructuring its squad for the second round of the tournament.
The directors of the Guayaquil team confirmed the arrival of Vergés, who earlier this week announced, from his previous club Gualaceo, that he was joining Octubre team on loan until December 31.
Vergés arrived at Gualaceo at the beginning of the year, which debuted in the Ecuadorian First Division, and where he became the second top scorer of the first stage with 9 goals, one less than Argentine Francisco Fydriszewski from Aucas.

In addition to Vergés, 9 de Octubre signed Paraguayan goalkeeper Rubén Escobar last week, who played in the current Copa Sudamericana with Guaireña from Paraguay.
Among the reinforcements that the bottom team of the tournament has added are defenders Nixon Folleco and Wilmer Meneses; midfielders Marco Mosquera, Kevin Arroyo, and Flavio Caicedo; and forwards Carlos Garcés, Gabriel Cortez, and Joao Paredes.
The club's management also confirmed the departure of Colombian Harrison Mojica, Panamanian Alfredo Stephens, and Ecuadorians Johao Chávez, Ayrton Cisneros, Ely Esterilla, and Edisson Recalde.
Uruguayan players Darwin Torres and Mauro Da Luz, as well as Panamanians Ricardo Phillips and Newton Williams, were confirmed.
Under the leadership of Ecuadorian coach Juan Carlos León, 9 de Octubre is preparing for the round of 16 of the Copa Ecuador and the second phase of the Ecuadorian championship.
The winner of the second phase will compete for the title of the current season against the winner of the first phase, Barcelona, and will secure the second local spot for the group stage of the next Copa Libertadores. EFE
