The transfer market in Colombia is starting to move while the champion of the first semester of the national tournament is being defined, while some think about departures, other teams seek to finalize their new incorporations with the hope of strengthening their football projects; such is the case of Atlético Bucaramanga, a team that, faced with the possible departure of their top scorer Dayro Moreno, would already have a Paraguayan forward with a great trajectory in the country on their radar.

The focus would be on Roberto Ovelar, the Paraguayan forward who currently plays in Peruvian football. Ovelar arrived at Deportivo Municipal since 2021, after leaving Once Caldas in Manizales and not fitting in with the 'white team', his arrival in Peru was awaited by the fans of the Lima team. The numbers so far have been positive, in 13 games played he has scored five goals.

The information was exposed by journalist Felipe Sierra, who talked about the most rumored signings for the coming semester, among them, the possibility that 'El Búfalo' could finalize his transfer to the 'Leopardo' team. According to Sierra, it's not only the Santanderan capital team that wants to secure the services of the Paraguayan, as there are other teams following the forward's steps.

The communicator pointed out: "Bucaramanga is very close to reaching an agreement with Roberto 'El Búfalo' Ovelar (36). The forward wants to return to Colombia. There is another team exerting pressure. The forward would disengage from Deportivo Municipal."

Roberto Ovelar arrived in Colombian football in 2014 to join Junior's ranks, he also played for Millonarios and recently for Once Caldas. In Colombia, he won three official titles and one friendly, as he lifted the Copa Colombia with Atlético Junior in 2015 and 2017, he also won the Super League in 2018 playing for Millonarios, and finally, he was part of the champion team of the Copa Fox Sports 2019 with the 'albiazul', it's worth mentioning that he was chosen to be part of the ideal team of the tournament in 2015.

Bucaramanga would lose its star

Atlético Bucaramanga reached the final eight of the tournament with a forward line led by Dayro Moreno, who was the team's top scorer and is currently aiming to be the top scorer of the league, but his presence for the next semester is in doubt. Recently, Dayro has been on the radar of several teams and has been strongly linked to Deportivo Cali, which is looking to strengthen itself to face the closing tournament and be a protagonist of the championship.

This signing would be crucial for the reorganization of the Vallecaucan team, which, if it manages to secure Dayro's transfer, would strengthen the forward zone in view of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16.

"I have to take things calmly, I had a complicated semester, with ups and downs. I will take a few days of vacation with my family, and then I will talk to the club president to see what can be resolved in the future. I just say that I am very happy. I found a very good team, a coach who adapted very well, there is good material for this team to be great. Hopefully, things will work out in the best way, for my benefit and for the club," said the 'Chicoraluno'.
