The Mexican goalkeeper revealed that he has been in contact with Gonzalo Pineda, Atlanta's coach, as well as Cisneros and Pulido, to learn more about the league.
The former Chivas goalkeeper, Raúl Gudiño, left Guadalajara early Friday morning to join Atlanta United in the MLS, and stated that he has nothing to prove, as it is a personal challenge and goal, and he was not afraid to leave Mexico.
"I don't think it's about proving something to someone or a team, it's simply about proving myself, I think I have to prove to myself that I can aspire to new challenges and goals to get out of my comfort zone, and all that is involved in this decision. "There were several approaches and all that, but as I have said, they were negotiations, conversations, and it was decided to go there, and as they say, I was not afraid to leave Mexico, so let's go with that excitement," he said.
With a new club and the possibility of returning to football activity, Raúl Gudiño emphasized that there is still time for a possible call-up to the Mexican National Team, which is why he has not ruled out participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"I think in the end, you have to be active, you have to be playing wherever you can, and that helps us raise our hand to be called up. There is a process and there are still a few days and a few months to raise our hand, and if it goes well, great, if not, we keep preparing for what comes next," he added.
