The "merengue" club announced this through a statement posted on social media, where they publicly thank Jorge Araujo for his work during the matches he was in charge in Liga 1 2022.
"We want to extend our gratitude to Jorge Araujo, who took on the interim Technical Director role of the senior team in a difficult moment and transition, demonstrating professionalism, composure, and commitment to the club", the statement reads.
In the same way, confidence is still provided to Jorge Araujo to assume the responsibility of leading the reserve team, where new talents are gradually emerging in the "crema" scheme.
On the other hand, Universitario announced that the new coaching staff will be presented on Monday, June 20, led by Carlos Compagnucci.
