“Gary Medel already has Al Rihla in his hands, ready to start a new story. The journey begins now,” posted the official Adidas Chile account on Instagram. As expected, users reacted en masse, many of them relating the message to a possible resolution of the controversy in favor of La Roja.
The player, who made no mention of this collaboration, is currently focused in Japan with the rest of his teammates for their match on Friday against Tunisia in the semi-finals of the friendly Copa Kirin tournament, their second practice match on the Asian tour they are carrying out under FIFA dates.

What happens to Chile if FIFA rules against Byron Castillo?
Among the five possible scenarios that the Chilean portal RedGol listed in the event of an adverse FIFA ruling for Byron Castillo and Ecuador, one of them would be direct qualification to the World Cup for the Chilean team. If Chile receives the points from the matches in which the player was present, they would climb to fourth place in the table.
However, another possibility would simply be the disqualification of the Tri, without granting the corresponding points to the 'affected' teams due to Castillo's presence. In this case, each team would move up one position, which would benefit Peru (from fifth to fourth place) and Colombia (from sixth to fifth place). Chile would move from seventh to sixth place, which would still leave them out of Qatar 2022.
