Sebastián Villa, Colombian football player of Boca Juniors, underwent a psychiatric evaluation on Thursday in the province of Buenos Aires, requested by the Argentine Justice after being accused of rape.
Villa, 26, who had already been accused of gender violence by his former partner in 2021, was accused on May 13 by another woman of sexual assault with carnal access, aggravated by injuries, and attempted murder.
The Justice conducted a psychiatric evaluation on the accuser and on Thursday on the Boca player, who was absent from the team's training.
The Colombian went to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lomas de Zamora, in the province of Buenos Aires, and stayed inside the building for just over an hour.
Judicial sources assured the local press that it is likely that the results of the evaluation will be available in the next 48 hours and then the prosecution will decide if Villa is called for questioning.
Xeneize publicly supported the football player, who was not separated from the team and became champion on May 22 of the Copa de la Liga against Tigre.
