Juventus hasn't had a great campaign this season and after several years, it will reach June without any titles in its showcase. Likewise, it has already secured qualification for the next edition of the Champions League and on May 16th, Monday, it plays its last home match in the penultimate round of the Serie A.
However, this match has a special flavor and the Allianz Stadium is packed. A club legend is leaving. Giorgio Chiellini is leaving the 'Vecchia Signora' after 17 seasons; he arrived at the age of 20 and 17 years later, he leaves as a legend with twenty titles on his shoulders.

The historic Italian defender used his social media to bid farewell to the Juventus fans prior to the match against Lazio, his final opponent at the Allianz Stadium. It is worth mentioning that he hasn't said anything about his future; that is, it is not known if he is retiring from football. His farewell from the national team will be on June 1st in a friendly match against Argentina.

“The day has come. Tonight, I will be flooded with emotions. 'Juve' has meant everything to me. My youth, experience, maturity. The desire to win, the joy of triumph, accepting defeat, the excitement of the challenge, the battle on the field, my head always bandaged…”, wrote the 37-year-old footballer.
“Joy for an adventure that has ended like this, for having fulfilled all dreams, imaginable or not, and for remaining forever in the history of this great club. Serenity. Choosing the right moment to say goodbye, to leave at a level consistent with what I have been, having shared so many values and emotions that no one will ever be able to erase”, he added.

And finally, he thanked all the Juventus workers, executives, staff, coaching staff, teammates, former teammates, his loved ones, and the owners, the Agnelli family. “Thank you for welcoming me, putting up with me, supporting me, and giving meaning to the word dream. Thank you, until the end”, he concluded.
