Jorge Bermúdez, current member of the football council of Boca Juniors and an authoritative voice, downplayed the club's discreet sporting present. In an interview with TyC Sports from Argentina, 'El Patrón' talked about everything, including Luis Advíncula, whom he praised.
"Responsibilities are shared, a great transfer market was made, and we are forming a team. In Fabra and Advíncula, we have the two best full-backs in Argentine football," said Jorge Bermúdez to the Argentine media.
On the other hand, the former Boca Juniors defender cleared up doubts regarding a possible call from Juan Román Riquelme (Vice President of Boca) to Sebastián Battaglia to define his future, after the draw against Godoy Cruz.
"Román (Riquelme) did not speak to Battaglia because he does not belong to the Football Council. He is the vice president of the institution, the highest visible and important head of football, and our closest boss, but the Football Council is made up of Raúl Cascini, Marcelo Delgado, and me," emphasized 'El Patrón'.
"Román arrives at the training ground before noon and leaves at two or three in the morning. There are logistical, infrastructure, and youth football issues that concern him. But matters related to the professional squad are the responsibility of the Football Council," said the former Colombian player.
